Yuemin's Personal Page

Hi There! This is Yuemin.

I'm Yuemin Yu ("余越旻" in Chinese characters, just call me Yuemin, or Austin, or whatever you like), an incoming MPhil (Master by research) student at the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing and Data Science, The University of Hong Kong (HKU CDS). Previously, I received my BEng degree in Computer Science from HKU CDS in Summer 2025.

I am quite interested in some Computer Science research topics, including Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Ubiquitous Computing, Wireless Sensing, Real-world Perception and AI for Science and Healthcare. During my undergraduate study, I have been working / have worked under the supervision of Prof. Chenshu Wu at HKU, and Prof. Pingzhao Hu at Western University, Canada. I have also spent wonderful time during the exchange semester at University of Toronto during 2024 Winter semester.

[2025.06] Graduated as an undergrad at Department of Computer Science, HKU CDS~~ I am going to continue my study as an MPhil student here in the next years.

[2024.06] Started my research internship at The Hu Lab at Western University, Canada.

[2024.05] Our demo abstract "Statistical Acoustic Sensing For Real-Time Respiration Monitoring and Presence Detection" is accepted by MobiSys 2024.

[2024.01] Started my exchange semester at University of Toronto.
